Norcott was formed in 1997 by the management team of Mosaic Technology, occupying a newly designed purpose built engineering centre in the heart of Cheshire.
About Norcott
Initially Norcott provided electronic design services to the electronics and original equipment manufacturers, however our overall goal was to provide a ‘full service’ that would also encompass prototype and volume assembly. In September 1999 we commissioned a medium capacity surface mount line with the emphasis on technology providing us with an immediate capability to assemble PCBs with fine pitch QFP and µBGA technologies.
Over recent years our facilities have been enhanced and extended to provide increased capacity whilst retaining and extending our technical capability.
The design group has over 70 years of collective experience in areas as diverse as avionics, automotive subsystems, digital video, distributed data acquisition, motor control and smart card development. We strongly believe in a long term partnership with our customers allowing us both to achieve our respective business goals. With an innovative approach to design coupled with a keen focus on high quality cost effective manufacture Norcott can provide you with a total engineering solution.

Pete Lomas
Managing Director
Prior to founding Norcott, Pete was the Director of Engineering of Mosaic Technology Limited, an electronic design consultancy based in Manchester.
Over a ten year period Mosaic grew to become a multi-million pound company, prior to its sale in 1997.
Pete has also been a lecturer in Computer Engineering and CADCAM systems, a Freelance Engineering Consultant and Development Manager for Kemitron Industrial and Scientific Computers.
Over a career spanning 30 years he has been responsible for the development of over 100 electronic products containing some 280 PCB designs, in applications areas as diverse as video security, hydrographic research, fire detection, data communications, engine test and building management.
Helen Adkins
Financial Director
Acquiring qualifications in Business Studies, Management and Accountancy she became a founding staff member of Norcott.
Over the years Helen has rapidly expanded her role and contribution to the company’s development occupying the position of Administrative Manager until her promotion to the Board of Directors in March 2000.
